Bed Bug

  • Classification of service:  Covered under Additional services
  • Look similar to a tick but are usually redder in color.
  • They are a world-wide recurring problem.
  • Found in seams and tuffs of mattress and in box springs.
  • No one is immune to this problem especially if you travel and stay in hotel/motel and even more so if you travel internationally.
  • Inspection and treatment can get very expensive. 
  • The female bed bug can lay up 2 eggs per day until she’s reached 200.  Eggs hatch within 6-17 days.  They can reproduce as early as 30 days.
  • They can live a year or longer without a blood meal.
  • The cause of irritation from a bed bug bite is due to the protein in the anti-coagulant in the saliva from the bite.
