Lone Star Tick

  • Classification of service:  additional services (same as fleas)
  • They usually brown to black in color and have eight legs.
  • They feed by sucking and biting warm-blooded animals.
  • Controlling tick populations start with animals being on a regular flea/tick program.  Ask your veterinarian for their recommendation.
  • Breaking their life cycle is important in reducing or depleting their population.  Treating the yard does help but there is not residual to prevent recurrence.
  • Very difficult to control due to the lack of product available on the market.
