Scorpions

  • Classification of service:  covered under Additional Services
  • These arachnids appear brown with two distinct black stripes on their back.
  • They hold their pray with their pinchers and the tail punctures and inserts poison.
  • They are found under rocks, shrubbery and sometimes in the yard.
  • The most common here is the Western Bark Scorpion and their sting is not really worse than a wasp.
  • They are not poisonous.
  • Like spiders, they are hard to control and require more extensive treatments with more frequency (monthly vs bi-monthly instead of quarterly).
